What is Rent Responsibly? Sounds… boring.

No way. Rent Responsibly is a network and platform for local short-term rental alliances. We help connect owners, hosts and managers with each other and the resources you need to make sure short-term rentals have a home in your town’s sustainable tourism landscape. That includes fostering strong partnerships with local businesses, ally organizations, and your local governments.

We also help our network collaborate to ensure our collective resources go 10x as far. Our partners support our efforts to connect STR owners and managers around the country and develop free educational resources to put best practices at your fingertips and take the confusion out of staying up to date with local rules.

Last but most, we celebrate our industry with positive media that corrects the often negative and misinformed narrative around STRs. Our co-founder, Dave, likes to call us the industry’s “hype man.”

Why should I be here?

You might be:

• a host or manager looking for like-minded pros who can relate to your needs and challenges
• someone who wants to learn more about rules and regulations that affect your STR, and maybe even get involved in local efforts to create policies that work
• an elected official or policymaker faced with short-term rental regulations for the first (or second or tenth) time
• a small business owner, such as a cleaning or property care company, that wants to connect with local short-term rental operators

• a vendor in the industry looking for the best ways to help your clients
• someone outside of the STR industry and just want to see what we’re up to
